Referred to as the steepest pass in Namibia, it offers astounding views and a scenic gateway to the Namib Desert, the Spreetshoogte Pass. Situated between Nauchas and Solitaire, the pass roves into the Rantberge in the Khomas Hochland. This is only a glimpse of your Namibian holiday, allowing you to navigate through the rugged and silent mountainous route.

This pass was developed as a mere dream of Nicolaas Andries Rymert Spreeth, who needed easier access to the mountain and a stunning view of the Namib. Initially it was pieced together with quartzite rocks, until it was time for a more robust paved road to provide ease to drivers making use of this route.

The pass cannot be navigated by vehicles with caravans, trailers or top-heavy vehicles. Although the steeper sections have been paved, drivers are urged to reduce their speed to ensure their safety.
